I want to live... 

Not to be killed in the womb, 

But to be embraced by the hands of many. 


I want to live... 

Not to be looked at in disgrace, 

But to appreciate my grace. 


I want to live... 

Not to be locked in a house, 

But to be educated. 


I want to live... 

Not to be married off at a tender age to a strange man, 

But to be married whenever I want to, to the man I love. 


I want to live... 

Not as a burden, 

But as one who can carry the burdens as he. 


I want to live... 

Not to watch others play, 

But to play myself. 


I want to live... 

Not to be raped, 

But to be loved. 


I want to live... 

Not in danger, 

But in safety. 


I want to live... 

Not because my place belongs in the kitchen, 

But because my place belongs in this world. 


I want to live... 

Not to hide my talents, 

But to showcase them.


I want to live... 

Not because you are obliged to let me live, 

But because I have a right to live.

So many girls around the world are subject to prejudice. What I mentioned above were just a few instances of what girls around the world are prone to. I am a girl, and as a girl who has the privilege of being educated, has wonderful parents who don't discriminate between my brother and I, and who don't let me hide my talents, I want to voice the hundreds and thousands of girls in the world. We girls are born to do so much more. And this has been proved through the centuries by some daring women of the world, who continue to do so, and needless to say, will continue to do the same.

I don't know much about the universe

I don't know much about the universe. It's like someone who lives in my neighbourhood who I know exists but feels so foreign to me. I know that only 4 percent of the universe has been discovered so far. There is so much out there and so much that may just be a figment of our imagination.  I don't know much about the universe. The trick-master and his trick

My eyes were closed but if you would look closely you can see a slight movement which is equally fascinating as it is weird. My body felt limp. But now and then, my legs would jerk in a manner that would not only feel like I am falling but there would also be this feeling creeping up my legs telling my brain to keep moving them. And for what? It's called restless leg syndrome.  Amidst all of these activities happening in my body, you came into my dream. Your presence in my dreamworld was totally uncalled for but I guess it was just a matter of time for you to show up.
